Todd Koster, age 50, of Kenosha, passed away on Sunday, November 11, 2012 in Watersmeet, Michigan, following injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Born on August 13, 1962 in Kenosha, he was the son of Raymond C. and Joan M. (Colonno) Koster. A lifelong resident of Kenosha, he attended local schools and was a 1980 graduate of Mary D. Bradford High School.
He was employed as a Market Maker with Walleye Trading at the Chicago Board of Options Exchange.
On April 15, 1989 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church he was united in marriage to Laura Jensen. They were blessed with one son and 23 years of marriage.
He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, the Frosty Snowmobile Club in Land O'Lakes and a member of the Kenosha Chapter of the Harley Owners Group. Todd had a passion for riding his Harley and spending time at his home in Watersmeet, MI. He was a true outdoorsman; he had a love for snowmobiling, fly fishing, duck hunting and deer hunting, through both bow and gun seasons. Todd was a great cooking partner to his wife and also enjoyed being master of his grill. He was a dedicated sports fan, cheering on his favorite sports teams; the Pittsburg Steelers, Milwaukee Brewers and the Wisconsin Badgers.
Todd will be deeply missed by his wife, Laura; his son, Drake; his mother, Joan Koster and his brother, Tim Koster. He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond.

Having first learned of Todd's death on Christmas Day, today I tearfully write of our friendship which spanned a decade, both on the CBOE as OEX traders and as a former resident of Land O Lakes, WI. Todd was truly "born" for the Northwoods-he was a part of the fabric of life and awesome natural landscape of the lower U.P. I'll never forget being caught out @ midnight in a driving snowstorm on snowmobiles with Todd-I was scared-Todd was laughing-he could overcome anything. Todd Koster made my life more fun. Heaven's gain has now made my life a little lonelier.

Prayers and deepest sympathy to the Koster family for your loss. To the guys at the Buckingham Club in Chicago, Todd (Dr J called him "Taka") was a prince of a man and several of us enjoyed his cheerful disposition and our daily chats about his family, politics, the Steelers, the markets or the future of our country. And of course he loved his "up north" long weekends whether on a Harley, snowmobile or a fishing boat. He was the ambassador of the North. TKA--you will be sorely missed my friend. Peace RT

Todd was always smiling, which is why I looked forward to seeing him every day at work. He was hilarious and simply an all-around great guy, plus he rode Harleys which gave him bonus points in my book. I'll never forget him.
