Mildred R. Mueller

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, February 6, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at the Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home, 3720 39th Avenue.  A service of committal and interment will take place on Tuesday, February 7^th at 12:00 noon in Hosmer Cemetery (Hwy. V & Hwy. 45) Bristol. 

A visitation for Mildred will be held on Monday at the funeral home, 3720 39th Avenue from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

The family has requested that flowers be omitted.  Memorial remembrances to Hospice Alliance, Inc., 10220 Prairie Ridge Blvd., Pleasant Prairie, WI  53158 or Hawthorne Hollow Nature Sanctuary, 880 Green Bay Rd., Kenosha, WI  53144 would be appreciated.     

Mildred R. Mueller, age 86 of Somers, died surrounded by her family on Thursday, February 2, 2012, at her residence.

Born in Wheeling, IL on December 27, 1925, she was the daughter of the late August and Lena (Wischman) Grandt.

On July 3, 1947 in Wheeling, she was united in marriage to George W. Mueller.  He preceded her in death on October 2, 1989.

When her children were young, Mildred was a homemaker.  She was then employed with Echo in Wheeling, IL, Smith Corona in Libertyville, IL and Northlake Engineering in Antioch, IL.  

Mildred will be missed by her loving canine companion, Nikki and will be remembered by her three daughters, Linda (Robert) McGowan of Oxford, WI, Caren (Jim Martin) Horton of Burlington, WI and Judy (Paul) Wade of Somers, WI; her six grandchildren, Lisa (John) Hade, Chris (Katie) Verzal, Lani (Jameson) McGovern, Laura (Brett) McGovern, Timothy Wade and Daniel Wade; her six great grandchildren, Alex and Kalie Hade, Sarah and Grace Verzal and Logan and Caden McGovern. 

She is further survived by her brother, Gilbert Grandt and her three sisters, Lorraine (Tom) Hansen, Lillian Kraft and Bernice Mantey.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Ray, Edward, Ervin, Harvey, and Melvin Grandt; and her two sisters, Hazel Mantey and Margaret Mueller.
