Obituary:

Tracy D. Van Thiel, age 49 of Kenosha, died on Thursday, January 26, 2012 at Hospice House, surrounded by her loving family.

A lifelong residence of Kenosha, she was born on March 3, 1962 and was the daughter of Charles and Gloria Jean (Zahn) Van Thiel, Jr.   Tracy attended local schools and was a 1980 graduate of Mary D. Bradford High School and she also attended Gateway Technical College.

For over 10 years, she was employed with Rainbow/Pick N Save as the assistant bakery manager.  She was previously a CNA at St. Joseph Home.

She was a faithful member of Immanuel Baptist Church.  Tracy was a lady with many talents.  She enjoyed cooking and baking as well as crafts, scrap booking and flower arranging.  She excelled in making and decorating all types of cakes.  She liked swimming and many other outdoor activities in the summer.  Tracy loved her family and devoted much of her life to helping others.  She always had time to tend to others needs; especially troubled youth.

Tracy leaves behind a very loving family to remember her.  She is survived by her parents, Charles and Gloria Van Thiel, Jr., her three children, Justin James Bloom of Racine, Brittany Jean Frederick of Kenosha and Bobbie Jean Canales of Kenosha; her two adoring grandchildren, Eveyana and Isabella; her brother, Drake (Sharon) Van Thiel of Mt. Pleasant; her paternal grandmother, Susie Van Thiel of Kenosha; her aunt, Sandra Van Thiel of Arkansas; and her niece, Morgan Van Thiel.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather and maternal grandparents.

I am so saddened to hear about Tracy. I was not a close friend but we sat next to each other in the Bradford Choir. We were 2 or 3 second altos. My heart goes out to the family members. I know you will miss her greatly, Camille Cox Bergstrom
