Linnie Meurl BerryFebruary 09, 1938 - January 24, 2012 Service:Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home, 3720 39th Avenue. Interment will follow in Sunset Ridge Memorial Park. Visitation:Obituary:Linnie Meurl Berry, of Kenosha passed away peacefully at Washington Manor Nursing Home on Tuesday, January 24, 2012. She was born in Ashley County, AK on February 9, 1938 and was the daughter of the late Chester and Doris (Butcher) Beal. She was educated in the Desha County school system; relocating to Kenosha in 1958. The oldest of four sisters in a family of 12, Linnie took on the role of family matriarch after her parent's death. On May 2, 1963 in Kenosha, she was united in marriage to David Berry. Linnie was employed as a domestic manager until her retirement in 2005. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her husband and family. Linnie will be deeply missed by all. Linnie is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 47 years, David; four sisters, Beatrice Young, Helen Beal, Josephine Moore, and Daisy Brantley; four brothers, Samuel (Annie) Beal, Eugene (Ella) Beal, Chester Beal, Jr., and Willie (Jeanette) Beal; and a multitude of nieces, nephews, family members and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her three brothers, Charles, Charlie and Preston Beal. |
