Service:

A Memorial Service in celebration of Myra's life will be held on Friday, November 11, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at the Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home, 3720 39th Avenue.  Private inurnment will take place in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery. 

Visitation:

A gathering of relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home, 3720 39th Avenue on Friday, from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the memorial service.

Obituary:

Myra L. Kortright, age 96 of Wauwatosa, died on Monday, November 7, 2011 at the Lutheran Home in Wauwatosa, WI.

Born in Milwaukee on September 17, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Emil and Louise (Kaufman) Buntrock.  She spent a majority of her life in Milwaukee and was a graduate of the Girls Technical School in Milwaukee.

On April 20, 1946 in Milwaukee, she was married to Eugene Kortright.  He preceded her in death on June 13, 1982.

Myra was employed as a sales associate with Boston Store in Milwaukee for 30 years, retiring in 1979.

She was an exceptional artist and loved to draw.  Myra was an excellent cook and baker and was proud to share her homemade creations with her family and friends.  She enjoyed spending time swimming, golfing, reading novels and being with her family.

She is survived by her two children, Gayle A. Kortright of Wauwatosa and Kevin E. (Lynn) Kortright of Pleasant Prairie; her two grandchildren, Janet and Steven Kortright; and her three great grandchildren, Tyler Kortright, Kayla Schenning and Alaina Noto.  Myra is further survived by her many loving nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; and great-great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Carlton, Raymond, Walter and Robert "Bud" Buntrock.
