Dorothy “Dotsie” A. Sundstrom

Service:

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 7400 39th Avenue.  Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. 

Visitation:

A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass at the church, 7400 39th Avenue.  

Obituary:

Dorothy “Dotsie” A. Sundstrom, age 91 of Kenosha, went home to the arms of her Lord and Savior on Saturday, July 24, 2010 at Regent Manor of Kenosha.

 

Born in Escanaba, MI on May 6, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Justin and Flora (Gunville) Beaumier.  Dotsie and her family moved to Kenosha from Niagara, WI in 1926.  She attended St. Thomas Aquinas Elementary School, Lincoln Jr. High School and was a graduate of Kenosha High School.

 

On June 28, 1941 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, she was married to Herbert F. Sundstrom.  He preceded her in death on July 17, 1975.

 

From 1973 until 1983, Dotsie was employed with Snap-On Tools as an inspector.

 

She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and a former member of their Altar Society.  Dotsie was also a member of the St. Jude League and the Sacred Heart Society. 

She loved to cook and enjoyed sharing meals with her family.

 

She is survived by her two sisters, Jeanette R. Miholic of Kenosha and Mary Jane (John) Wogan of Sun Lakes, AZ.  Dotsie was a loving cheerleader to her many nieces and nephews.

 

She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Lawrence and Robert G. Beaumier; and four sisters, Olive Lessard, Margaret Pabst, Lucille E. Althoff and Helen C. Marcoux.
