Luigi CovelliJune 18, 1916 - July 12, 2010 Service: Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 16, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of All Saints Mausoleum, 3300 Springbrook Rd., Pleasant Prairie. Entombment will follow. Visitation: A visitation will be held on Thursday, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home, 3720 39th Avenue. Memorial remembrances directed to the National Kidney Foundation of Wisconsin, 16655 W. Bluemound Rd., Ste. 240, Brookfield, WI 53005-5935 would be appreciated by the family. Obituary: Luigi Covelli, age 94 of Kenosha, died on Monday, July 12, 2010 at St. Joseph Home. Born on June 18, 1916 in Marano Principato, Province of Cosenza, Italy, he was the son of the late Beniamino and Raffaella (Morelli) Covelli. Luigi served in the Italian Army Infantry with the Allied Forces for 7 ½ years. On February 17, 1936 in Italy, he was married to Assunta Savaglio. As a young man, he drove city bus and was a bus mechanic in Argentina. When Luigi and his wife moved to the U.S. and New York, he was employed with Ronzoni Macaroni Company. In 1965, they moved to Kenosha and he was employed with Frost Company and as a security guard at Peter Pirsch Company. Following retirement, Luigi and his wife worked with his son and daughter-in-law at Patco Industries. He was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Over the years, Luigi planted and grew many fruit trees, and was an avid gardener. He shared his bountiful rewards with his family and friends. For many years, Luigi and his wife traveled the Kenosha area by city bus. His life was filled with love for his grandchildren and he was always proud of their many accomplishments. Luigi will be remembered for his love of America and his belief that if work hard you could achieve your dreams. He is survived by his wife, Assunta; his son, Armando (Jo) Covelli; his grandchildren, Scott (Jenne) Covelli and Amanda (Jacob) Hoelzer and his three beautiful great grandchildren, Jarrett, Jace and Sienna Covelli. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Rosaria Raffaella Covelli, in infancy; a sister, Delina Covelli; and four brothers, Ralph, Dominic, Eugene and Anthony Covelli.

Your hearts are heavy and while it never really goes away, the fond memories you share are eternal. I can't tell you the many times I think about our Dad's and what they're missing while not truly missing anything. Knowing he's there all the time, watching, protecting, nudging. God's speed for his soul as he meets our maker!! The saints get yet another treasure.
