Reifenberger, age 76 of Kenosha, died on Friday, July 9, 2010 at Hospice House, with her family by her side. Born on October 25, 1933 in Altkellbunken, East Prussia, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Hedwig (Williams) Dopatka. She attended schools in Germany. On March 23, 1957 in Hanau, Germany, she was married to Helmut Reifenberger. Shortly thereafter, they moved to Kenosha and made it their home. Irmgard was employed at Holleb's as a seamstress for over 20 years and was proud to be a homemaker. She attended the Kenosha Bible Church. Irmgard was also a member of the MGV Harmonia, where she enjoyed helping out as much as possible. She was a very talented and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved sewing, flower gardening, reading; especially romances, and playing cards in her bi-weekly card club. Her most memorable times were spent cooking her favorite German recipes and sharing them with her family. She is survived by her husband, Helmut; her two sons, Michael H. (Ann) and Andreas R. (Debby) Reifenberger, both of Kenosha; her daughter, Annette R. Cheney of Kenosha; her five grandchildren, Shannon, Christopher, Joshua, Ashley and Matthew; her five brothers, Reinhold, Kurt, Siegfred, Gunter and Horst, all of Germany; and her two sisters, Renate of Columbus, OH and Gerlinda of Germany. Our deepest sympathy goes out to you all for your loss. There are no words to express the sadness you must be feeling right now. Never is there a time we are ready to say "good-bye" to someone so important to us. It's easier to say "so-long for now". Irmgard was a wonderful lady and she will truly be missed by all who had the pleasure of meeting her. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers during this most difficult time.

We are deeply sad that we have lost a good friend and old neighbor. Irmgaard was a beautiful person both inside and out. We will remember the good times and growing up in the neighborhood and the many stories that took place in the backyards and over the fence. She is gathering now with Rose, Delores and Theresa in heaven. Boy those girls are going to have a good time together. Our deepest sympathy to Helmut and the children.

Annette... Just want to send my condolences to you and your family. I met your Mother once when we lived at Woodcreek, and she seemed to be a wounderful person. I know what you are going through at this time. I lost my Dad last year on Thanksgiving. My prayers and thoughts will be with you and your family.
