Obituary:

Francis A. "Frank" Kodis, 97 of Kenosha, passed away on Sunday, July 4, 2010 at Harmony of Kenosha.

Born in Rockford, IL, on October 1, 1912, he was the son of the late Peter and Josephine (Leadacke) Kodis. They moved to Kenosha when Frank was a child in 1915. He attended local schools.

Prior to entering the service, Frank enjoyed being a bartender at many local establishments.   He honorably served his country in the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1946.

For fourteen years he was employed at the Simmons Company and later worked as an assembler at American Motors Corp. for thirteen years, retiring in 1974.

After retirement Frank spent a great deal of time golfing with his brother, Joe.  In his later years at Harmony of Kenosha, Frank enjoyed playing cards and bingo.  He took great pride in being a resident there for almost twelve years.

He is survived by a sister, Joan (Lee) Talbert of Kellogg, IA, his nephew and caregiver, Michael (Donna) Talbert of Kenosha and his great niece, Brileigh Talbert.

In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph and his sister, Eleanore Wilcott.

The family wishes to thank Hospice Alliance for the wonderful and compassionate care that they provided to Frank, especially Sue and Regina.
