Bill Althaus

Bill began working for Piasecki Funeral Home in 1984 and partnered with Nancy Piasecki to form Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home in 1986. A passionate community steward, Bill has an extensive history of being in service to Kenosha, his home town. A life-long member of St. Mary Catholic Church, he serves his parish as a cantor/song leader and is a former catechism instructor. Since 1984, he has been a member of the Rotary Club of Kenosha - West and served on the board in various capacities since 1986. In addition, he has served on the board of directors with Kenosha Voluntary Action Council, Kenosha Area Family and Aging Services, Inc., Kenosha Achievement Center and Every Child's Place. He has also lent his time and resources to the St. Catherine's Hospital Development Council, Knights of Columbus, Polish Legion of American Veterans - George Washington Post 34 (honorary member), Kenosha Achievement Center Development Committee Member, Kenosha Library Foundation, Kenosha Public Museum Foundation and supports St. Joseph High School in numerous fundraising endeavors and as a guest speaker for various classes and assemblies. Effortlessly charismatic, Bill enjoys emceeing community events and sharing his gift of voice. He enjoys reading and spending time at his cabin "up north." |
Tom Bain

A life-long resident of Kenosha, Tom is a graduate of St. Joseph High School and graduated with honors from University of Wisconsin - Parkside with a Bachelor of Science degree in business management. A part-time job at a local funeral home sparked his interest in funeral service, and Tom went on to graduate as class salutatorian of Worsham College of Mortuary Science. He has been licensed as a Wisconsin funeral director/embalmer since 1973. After a thirty year career in credit and collection management and cemetery administration, Tom joined the Piasecki-Althaus team in 2007. In their down time, Tom and his wife, Nita, enjoy classic cars - including their 1964 AMC Rambler Classic, going to car shows, flea markets and antique malls. Tom's motivation to come to work each day is "helping families through the death of a loved one, which is often the most difficult and trying time of their lives." |
Coriann Martin

A Milwaukee native, Cori relocated to Kenosha and joined the Piasecki-Althaus team in June of 2001. She graduated from Milwaukee Area Technical College in 1997 and is licensed in both Wisconsin and Illinois. Cori and her husband, Matt, a City of Kenosha firefighter and paramedic, are members of Mount Pleasant Lutheran Church in Racine. Their daughter, Gabriella Josephine, was baptized there, after her birth in January of 2008. Together, they are members of the Wisconsin Upside Down Foundation. Cori enjoys spending her free time shopping, playing competitive indoor/outdoor soccer with the Women's Soccer Club and finds "meeting families" to be the most rewarding part of her job. |
Amy Wright

Originally a flatlander, Amy joined the Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home team in January of 2009. She is a 2008 graduate of Worsham College of Mortuary Science and attends Willow Creek Community Church in South Barrington, IL. As Public Relations Director, she works with the funeral home's grief and suicide support groups, conducts hospice volunteer training and talks at area schools, co-presents advance planning seminars and coordinates programming for the Family Services Center. She is a coordinator for Pathways To Successful Living seminars and a former MargaretAnn's Place peer-group facilitator and Kenosha/Racine community board member. Amy loves that her job allows her to be creative and directly support those impacted by the loss of a loved one. Amy's home "grew by two feet" on May 22, 2010, when she and her husband, Brian, and step-son, Harrison, welcomed the newest Wright, Noah Henry, to the family. |
Nancy Piasecki
| Nancy graduated from Waukegan Township High School in 1951 and came to Kenosha when she married Michael Piasecki, Sr. in July of 1955. She has been managing the funeral home business office ever since and is president of Piasecki-Althaus Funeral home. A member of St. Peter's Catholic Church for over forty years, she is also chairman of the St. Peter's Finance Committee. Her inspiring record of community leadership includes serving as past president and long time member of the Board of Directors for Hospice Alliance, Inc., past president and board member of the former St. Catherine's Hospital Auxiliary, member of the St. Catherine's Hospital Board of Directors, lifetime member of the Kenosha County Girl Scout Council and member of the P.L.A.V. Auxiliary. Nancy's greatest joy is found spending time with her four children and six grandchildren. In her time away from the funeral home, she enjoys traveling and spending time at her lake house. |
Laura Radtke

Laura moved to Kenosha County and joined the Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home team in April of 2004. She attended University of Wisconsin-Parkside and graduated from Milwaukee Area Technical College in 2001. Laura is a proud member of the American Society of Embalmers. |
Julie Ruhle

The picture of a "people person," Julie entered funeral service because of her love of helping people. She was born and raised in Pleasant Prairie and joined the Piasecki-Althaus team in 2001. A licensed property, casualty, life and health insurance agent, Julie has been an asset to the insurance industry for over 30 years and is an invaluable resource in supporting families who have questions about life insurance and filing claims. She is especially proud and grateful that, throughout her career, so many of her professional relationships have turned into friendships. Dedicated to her family, she is the sole caregiver for her aging parents and loves spending time with them. |
